Rep. Mark Green (R-TN-07) called the 28-day impeachment delay “unprecedented” and called out six of the seven impeachment managers who wanted to remove President Donald Trump before the whistleblower complaint was ever filed.
House Speaker Pelosi and House Democrats on Wednesday named impeachment managers and voted to transmit the impeachment articles to the Senate after a 28-day delay.
According to Fox News, the prosecutors were hand-picked.
They include House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., who will serve as lead manager and who directed much of the House impeachment inquiry out of his committee, and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., whose panel drafted the articles of impeachment.
Pelosi also tapped House Democratic Caucus Chairman Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y.; Reps. Jason Crow, D-Colo.; Val Demings, D-Fla.; Sylvia Garcia, D-Texas; and Zoe Lofgren, D-Calif.

The freshman representative said in a press release, “This has never been anything but a partisan sham to overturn a national election and silence the voices of 63 million Americans who voted for President Trump. Six of the seven impeachment managers Speaker Pelosi appointed today supported impeaching this President before the whistleblower complaint was even filed. This isn’t about facts—this is about reversing our last election and rigging the next one.”
“Democrats promised us the evidence was ‘overwhelming’ and the case was ‘urgent’,” Green said, “but the only bipartisan vote was against impeachment and Democrats sat on the articles for four weeks because they knew they did such a terrible job establishing any evidence of an impeachable offense.”
“Despite a constant smear campaign from the left,” Green continued, “President Trump continues to deliver for Americans, only today signing a landmark Phase One Trade Agreement with China. Democrats know they can’t run against this President’s record, so they are obsessed with impeaching him.”
